Baymet
Baymet, referred to by the title Raider Baymet, was a Nightmen warrior who held a leadership role among his people. He appeared in The Blood of Giants as a raider returning from a successful expedition.
Overview
Baymet led a group of Nightmen warriors who were returning from a raid at the time of his encounter with Rhys and Zaira von Monocle's group. He was addressed familiarly by Rhys, suggesting some prior acquaintance or at least mutual recognition between the two. Baymet carried himself with the authority of a commander, issuing orders to his warriors and directing the movement of his group.
Role in The Blood of Giants
In The Blood of Giants, Baymet encountered Rhys and a group that included Zaira von Monocle near the Nightmen Arena. Rhys greeted him with the question "Good hunting, Baymet?", to which Baymet responded with suspicion regarding the composition of Rhys's party, asking: "This is a strange group of slaves with you. What brings you here, councilman?" During this exchange, Baymet scanned the group with his gaze, which lingered notably on Zaira.
Baymet subsequently ordered his warriors to move aside so that Rhys's group could pass through to the Nightmen Arena. When the escape of the group was revealed, Baymet barked orders in the Nightmen language, directing his warriors in response to the situation.
