Description

The stone was an object Ivan was observed handling on multiple occasions. He was known to twirl it in his palm. When not on his person, it was kept on an end table in his private sitting room.

Role in The Iron Wedding

In The Iron Wedding, Zaira von Monocle observed Ivan retrieve the stone from an end table in his private sitting room, noting it as an item she had seen him carrying before. As she recounted: "His hand slipped over to one of the end tables where he picked up the stone I'd seen him carrying before, twirling it in his palm."

Zaira did not know the purpose or nature of the stone, and speculated that it may have been a keepsake of some personal significance to Ivan.

It is worth noting that during the events depicted in The Iron Wedding, Ivan operated at times under the disguise of the ambassador "Andrei Zelezo," concealed by a changeling net. Whether the stone was present or used during those periods is unrecorded.
