Winston du Cogburn

Winston du Cogburn

Winston du Cogburn was a sea captain of noble blood, identified by the aristocratic "du" prefix in his surname. He served as captain of the steamship The Hallene, which he ran along the southern coast, docking regularly at Nyanzi and maintaining familiarity with its docks and many of the people on them.

Description

Du Cogburn had a white scraggly beard and a leathered face, bearing the weathered appearance of a seasoned mariner. His noble lineage, implied by the "du" prefix common to aristocratic names in Rislandia, stood in contrast to his practical, no-nonsense manner as a working ship captain.
