The Great Desert

The Great Desert was a vast and forbidding wasteland situated within the western Wyranth Empire. It lay past the southwestern coast of the empire, beyond the area where Carnait Cove was located. The desert was regarded as a place where it would have been impossible to live, underscoring the extreme and unforgiving nature of its environment.

Description

In The Iron Wedding, the Great Desert was characterized as wholly inhospitable, a region so harsh that sustained human habitation was considered impossible. Its position in the far western reaches of the Wyranth Empire, past the southwestern coast near Carnait Cove, placed it at the remote edge of known imperial territory.

Role in The Iron Wedding

In The Iron Wedding, the Great Desert was referenced in relation to the geography of the Wyranth Empire, establishing the southwestern coastal region and the location of Carnait Cove relative to this desolate interior expanse.
