Nightmen Transports
Nightmen transports, also referred to as transport ships or troop transport carriers, were large ships operated by the Nightmen for the purpose of carrying and deploying troops. They represented a significant component of Nightmen technology and military logistics, enabling the rapid movement of Nightmen forces to strategic locations.
Description
Nightmen transports were large vessels capable of carrying substantial numbers of Nightmen soldiers. Their size and capacity allowed dozens of troops to disembark from a single ship. The transports were able to set down—suggesting a landing or docking capability—at coastal or otherwise accessible locations, facilitating ground troop deployment directly from the ships.
Role in The Iron Wedding
In The Iron Wedding, Nightmen transports played a direct role in a military incursion. As the text records, "the Nightmen transports set down" at Carnait Cove, where dozens of Nightmen emerged from them. At least one transport landed near the base of a tower. That vessel, along with the Nightmen associated with it, collapsed when the ground beneath them gave way, destroying both the ship and the soldiers in the vicinity.
