Steam-Powered Lift
The steam-powered lift (also referred to as a power-assisted lift or simply the lift) was a mechanized cart designed to assist in the transportation of heavy loads. It represented a practical application of steam technology for logistical purposes.
Description
The steam-powered lift took the form of a long cart with two prongs protruding from its rear, allowing it to slide beneath pallets or other flat-based loads. Its handle featured several pipes and gears attached to it, which led down to a small steam motor mounted on the side of the device. When in operation, the engine produced a clacking and whirring sound. The device was described as power-assisted, enabling a single operator to carry loads that would otherwise require multiple personnel or additional equipment.

In The Fight For Rislandia, Corporal Tyson discovered the steam-powered lift inside a storehouse. He used it to transport The Big Bomb on its pallet, with the power-assisted mechanism allowing him to carry the bomb entirely on his own.
